The Carnival Association Fastnacht-Verband Franken e. V., based in Nuremberg, a local association for the care of the carnival tradition. He is 57 years (established August 23, 1953 in Nuremberg). The scope of the association covers the area franconia in northern Bavaria. The organization is - as with the political structure - divided into three districts, Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia. In the affiliated to the association of nearly 300 member companies contribute more than 70,000 carnival members. (20,000 young people) Also includes the association of almost 1,000 corporate members.
